MY SON SAAD.
Very naughty he is,a spring rolls in his body,
Foodie he is,watches cooking videos,
Plays pranks for fun, teases,is a carefree buddy,
Arts in his legacy, enjoys writing and drawing,
Loves to make chocolate, his sweet craving,
Does a lot of mimicry, has cornered studios,
Jack of all trades, but lazy about studying,
Confused about his aim,practices hockey.

My boy and me.
On the bed my pal sat drawing,
My boy,one gem,"it's me time"
I hug him,"why not art making",
Duo get a key job to chime.
Big tax kid,go for nap dreaming,
Up now, sip tea,eat bun,boy mine,
We go for fun,uno shuffling,
Far is the zoo,we jog and mime.
Oh!the joy of fox,cub, stories,
Day is gay,ink in the glories ,
Pet dog in red cap hurries.
Man in his eye,my son Saad,
Fan of non veg,dad is Bernard,
Mom in the gym,for lad it's hard.

Jag musiek
Verworpe noot van harts-musiek
Het jy by my in die kerk versoek
Ek het gesing die Eng’le-lied
Vir daardie Engel in die Boek
Verlore is my sang-talent
My toekoms wonder ideal.
Maar die blomme het hul saad gegooi
Vir jou is daar weer ietsie mooi
My toekoms bly steeds oop, maar toe
Oopte vir veranderings, en toe om net te proe
Tot dan ten minste, so sê ek
Die nag sal kom wat ek vertrek…
Verdwyn
Jou jas in my kas wil nie meer pas – ‘n las bly inderdaad
Two Clouds
Arabic poem by: Saad Yassin Yousuf*
Translated into English by:

========================
The cloud that sheltered me
Yesterday
And rained on my soul
With kisses of affection,
The transient cloud
In the skies of faraway towns
Has never known me before
But she wouldn’t leave my sadness
Before washing it away,
Before dissipating the dreariness of concerns
You planted in me
In a rainstorm of cactus,
And cleansing the wound left behind
By the flashes of doves
You wasted and
Rendered up their feathers to perish in the air.
Rain on me,
Oh transient one!,
To the point of tremor
Of the uniting question;
Perhaps, in the evening,
The flashes of brightness
On the mouth of streets
Would catch me a kiss
As my cloud is no more a shadow
And no more a rainy one,
How would my trees that line
On the trail of my waiting for you
Disperse their blossoms
And come back filled with ecstasy??!!!

The dead
The dead are refugees
To an immortal caves,
Hidden in the pockets of the earth,
They are escaping from sins
Exhausting by the pain .
We are the dead
But we are walking.
