PS...Some minutes ago I read Susan Ashley's "Animating Innate Vibrance", and the theme reminded me of you. I wonder what a collaboration between you two would be like! :)

Dear Paul, wonderful poet friend, your golden pen shines in this strand of haiku! I love Fall and I adore each snapshot of September's transition from summer to autumn. "sporadic lightning scribbles/on congested clouds" -wow! That imagery, especially, leaves an indelible mark upon my imagination! Your poetic expression is always exquisite, my inspiring friend. Warmest wishes and hugs.. ~Susan

Thank you for this adorable feedback, dear Susan! In my younger days I loved summer most, but as time went by I realized that autumn too had much to give, especially where poetry is concerned. ~ Warm regards & hugs, my friend / paul

Tommy hasn't mentioned the pomegranates this year so the last frost much have killed all the blooms this past spring. I enjoyed reading your creative Haiku. Thanks for sharing your talent with us. Sara K

Thank you Victor. My grandfather used to say that pomegranates burst with thunder/bolts, but I think that inconsistent watering is usually to blame. Regards // paul

I love so many lines and how picturesque your haiku are, especially “ split vulnerability “‘that line speaks to me! And is deep! “ breaks the morning hush ” beautiful! And so serene! “sporadic lightning scribbles on congested clouds” the subtle alliterations and word choices in the last haiku really stood out for me and is just very impressive! Well done! Pleasure reading your work always! Sending you light always

Paul, these are so good! I especially love the visual feast of images in the third haiku as lightning scribbles on the clouds! Love the word "scribbles!" Best wishes for the contest. This is marvelous. Blessings to you!

I have to admit Paul that when it comes to poetry forms, haikus don’t tend to do it for me. That said, the two Soupers’ poetry I have just read right now (yours and Laura’s) have both been in the said form and I have to say both are just brilliant. The third of your haikus I think is particularly superb. It conjures up so much imagery. Very clever. Cheers - Gary
