Frost crisped, the lawn remained beneath the frozen dew. Water dripped to ice as gutters drained. The cardinal bids the day adieu; the winter storm has left a gelid view.

Fine seasonal poem. What does gelid mean? I have been published in the NY Times. Also, I remember what you wrote about there being some good people out there.
