Frost crisped, the lawn remained beneath the frozen dew. Water dripped to ice as gutters drained. The cardinal bids the day adieu; the winter storm has left a gelid view.

Fine seasonal poem. What does gelid mean? I have been published in the NY Times. Also, I remember what you wrote about there being some good people out there. In light of recent events my faith in that has been a bit shattered. Also a great nature photo! I wish the best of the season to you and yours. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

What a beautiful photo. Have you considered entering the NWF photo contest. What does "gelid" mean? I have never heard that word before? Peace & Love Matthew Anish
