Our friend's are plagued by these birds - their neighbour has 5 and they run riot in the garden and scratch the cars -they have over 200 photos - yet environmental health do little to help!

I think that they are beautiful and their calls so exotic sounding but I know everything can have its draw backs..It would not be fun having them in large numbers in an area..I know there would be some deposits left behind..Thanks for stopping by my work "Bio" I added some more I don't know if you read it before I finished or not....Sara

They may be beautiful but they need to be in the right place and that is not in my friend's garden:-) Hugs jan xx

I didn't know till I did some research for the poem - I have always seen the shape on the train as being like eyes watching you - think it is quite apt - thanks for the comment you have made my day:-) Hugs Jan xx

The owner is a millionairess James - she could simply build a covered enclosure to go next to the riding stables... she doesn't cares about anybody except herself - no wonder her hubby left. the difference between these birds and foxes James - these are 'pets' not birds in the wild... we have no foxes, badgers or squirrels on the island:-( hugs jan xx

I still on the side of the bird, for such to us is purely materialistic :P - When I hear of Foxes doing what so many creatures do to find a meal, whether easy or hard. I'll always be on the side of nature, no disrespect, hugs, James xx

She could use mesh netting for her garden or spray them with a hose otherwise they will continue to come back and eat the plants and/or vegtables...good luck...hugs Tim

She's tried Tim - the owner is just as arrogant as the birds. they have had fencing put up and netting but they still get through! Hugs jan xx

Wonderful Haiku. My Dads first cousin used to raise peacocks on his farm. I remember collecting all of the feathers that I could, as a kid. Raising them is best left to the larger farms, with more control. This was quite well penned.

My brother's in-laws have them at their farm. They are great burgler alarms! We used to tease him that they sound like my sister-in-law yelling his name "Eearrl" lol

Our friend's live out in the countryside - no issue with keeping the birds but they are allowed to roam free and cause such destruction to our friend's property - but the owner is as arrogant as the birds she keeps! Hugs jan xx
