Dear joseph, what a unique limerick, made me smile and think, and feel for the statue too, brilliant rhymes too throughout! You do so many different types and forms of poems in such an engaging manner, pleasure reading always your work, sending you light always

Well, I agree that could be horrible if many birds were using the area as a roosting site. Good one. Sara K

This is an excellent limerick. The bird dirt does mar the statues, but I know that Philadelphia has a statue cleaner who drives around in a truck and cleans statue all day. I guess it is coexistence with the birds.

Oh wow , this is so clever and it it is so true, they perch on statues - i have had a poo drop on my head once, I walked into the nearest hairdresser which was actually A barber, but they washed my hair in any case! Well penned my friend, Blessings, Jennifer.

Poor statutes, they bear the remains of our birds. Lovely limerick.
