Fall is so rude. It doesn't even let Summer live out it's calendar life before it comes and kisses up to old man winter. And God bless the little creatures, may his grace be in their wings. And lift them up as they do us when each of them joyfully sings.

Sad to see those birds go. I enjoyed seeing the mud swallows dive and swoop for the bugs when they have nested on or near my house. Enjoyed reading your work. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara

Autumn has it own beauty but brings about the hibernation of plants and some animals, but strangely never birds, they travel in flocks to warmer climates. Love this poem Andrea . Hugs, Jennifer.

I have one out on my plant potting shelves (whatever they're called) and experienced this 'feeling' just yesterday when I found it. I don't like all these reads enforcing the end of summer - I want to be in denial. BUT I do like this very much, very clever write. Love, CayCay
