Premium Member Goodbyes Play Their Part

Parting moments bring you closer.
The thought of separation
Disturbs your sleep and hunger.
Want to be a winner…
Try to be together.
Take not anything for granted,
If you don’t want to be a loser.
Goodbyes play their part.

Never mind about distance
                                    No whine if no sunshine
Don’t care if drenched by rain
Just want to cheer you up daily, darling

                                         On my way, love
                            Got bouquet--- heartily wrapped
                                May these flowers, so pretty
                                    Bring you smiles, honey

Flowers affirm my constant love for you.
Sweetheart, prepare to receive these
from January to December:
carnation, violets
daffodils, daisies
hawthorns, roses
buttercups, gladiolus
aster, marigold
chrysanthemum, hollies...
Never will I let oblivion
vanquish my vow*...
So help me, God.

Running To Meet My Lover

Alighting the train, it began to rain
I won't let go of the flowers held tightly in my hand
While running, the road was slippery.
With every determination,
I'm running towards my lover.

we drove the winding road
to this remote beach
with aquamarine waves crashing
 . . . roaring
now, watching the scene
from the car
I read . . .
as you
caress my leg
. . . with serene love

Drenched to the skin,
Propelled by the urge
Of eager anticipation
He rushes to greet her
Undeterred by freezing rain
And slashing, bitter wind…

Same day
Same train station platform
Same urgent desire

He refuses to accept
Her untimely demise.

Frisky as Two-Year-Olds

HIM: Anything unputdownable?
HER: Yes, and you?
HIM: Lucky, we're here, we'll continue indoors ... and leave the book!
HER: Don't forget the kids, I'll carry Puddy-Tat upstairs ...
HIM: I'll persuade Pup-Tart outside.
HER: Meet you at the rendezvous!

Old pallid lady seen here,
frail from cold,
snow-slicked roads,
sluggish old woman,
a young guy,
stopped, whispered,
I'll lend a safe fist,
life is an unwinnable battle?
guide the trembling feet,
and was proud of his strength and greet.

Simple moments, like the wind
Whispering through the leaves, content
Gifting each soul a taste of love’s song
Breathing promises, tenderness
Suggestions of the beauty and peace
Stirred to life, each touch tracing
Grace, the intimacy,
           the closeness that abides

My words are birds hatched from ideas
and nourished by my own opinions, beliefs and memories.
Nature too provides me with inspiration and wings to fly!
I build nests using poetic devices and various poetry forms – often rhymed.

nests of many thoughts
creatively constructed . . .

I cannot write my poems quick, I must dwell with them for perhaps a day.
Ponder them, swirl them in my head, let them sink into my soul, let them dwell, and then like magic the words come spilling out . . .

wind is speaking words
and the moon is sighing rhymes-
the sun is dawning

October Suns

October suns are a fire
that set the orange leaves
aglow
sprinkling embers in Maple leaves
to make them blood red.
October Saturdays always have sunshine.
There are colors-plenty,
yellow, green, black
opal and tourmaline
with blue atomic skies

Roots

Buried deep and dark, roots promise worthy fruits

that feed and blossom from one common seed.

With solid branches multiplying thru so many years,

growing up and out from sound, established roots,

our ancestral tree of generations makes its stand.

The old oak stands straight, sturdy and tall
I wonder what would happen, should it fall?
A pillar stiff and cold through ages past
It marks many a story held never told
and in darkest shadows lies more to unfold.
