I wrote the perfect poem, and I double-checked each line The imagery was stunning, the picture painted was divine My face broke into a smile with the glowing comments I received But when I saw the ‘winner’s list’ I found my eyes were deceived There was a massive void where my name should have been How could the premiere contest sponsor be so bloody mean! LOL John its rather tongue in cheek as I rarely enter the premiere contests and there are so many disappointed people who try hard and are seen to fail but of course its all down to the sponsor's :-( hugs Jan xx

Well you certainly went for it. I think this is an amazing write. It is unbelievable how great your writing is these days. You knock me out of my chair...blow my socks off. (I double checked my spelling on that last line. Not a good time for a typo) I know you wrote this tongue and cheek but it is so well executed. Just a pleasure to read. A Fav!

It happens....Some good ones don't make it and some you weren't so pleased about shine... Sometimes it's not about your write could be the competition or taste of the judge.

I saw one person who must have 2 accounts post the same poem one after the other ... I saw someone had commented on both poems but not even picked up they were the same ... when I contacted the 'writer' they could offer no explanation as to how the same poem could be written by 2 people in different parts of the world lol!:-( hugs jan xx

Oh I know for a fact some are merely paying lip service and cutting and pasting the same comment and don't really read a poem lol. It's a bit of a tongue in cheek poem - i did start another one but it didn't make sense so I ditched it and went for humour:-) hugs Jan xx
