*For the Glenn Hughes contest. Needless to say this won't be everyone's cup of chamomile tea. Based on the song WAR PIGS by Black Sabbath.

(music intro) clergy teaching dogma classes just like wizards at black masses evil minds that sow confusion hailing godless evolution Babylon with all her daughters share in blessing wartime slaughter casting spells upon mankind puppeteering brainwashed minds (oh Lord yeah) (music) (bridge) popes and bishops wearing royal fleece sending our young men to their graves with their lips they bless the Prince of Peace promising the hordes that Jesus saves Reverends trumpeting their altar calls "Come get saved and you'll be healed" blind man now before the preacher falls another fallacy unveiled (yeah) (music) Judgment day brings tribulation the proud reject capitulation angels rain down from the heavens wielding bloody swords as weapons Babylon has missed her calling on their knees her prelates crawling time to face Jah's King of Kings Satan cowers, heaven sings (music to finale) (bonus stanza) Now God's judgment day has ended his sovereignty and name defended kingdom blessings here at last mankind's woes have all but past Jesus heals the broken-hearted brings to life our dear departed Jubilee's a thousand years no more suff'ring, pain or tears (Oh Lord yeah)

Chamomile tea has never been my favourite, and to be honest, neither has Black Sabbath. But I feel the heart of your poem, Tommy. You're right—justice will come. Too many people have gotten away with violence in the name of God, cloaked in righteousness, but there’s a reckoning for that kind of cruelty. No one escapes forever. Great lyrics for a song....Hugs

Hello Tom, I was a fan of Black Sabbath when they were on the music scene decades ago and War Pigs was one of the songs I loved. You have laid it out straight that what some Christian religions has done through the ages to corrupt Jesus and the apostles' teachings is inexcusable. God will hold accountable those who have used it for self-gain. Here in Pennsylvania, there were 300 priests that were identified as sexual predators through the years, and their names were published. I believe in our God and our God only who can save and bring us home and bring justice in the end. Well Inked! - Blessings, My Friend, Daniel

I believe we have two judgements for ourselves, both of which are the same: one for the soul and the other for the end of times when our body joins the soul. No one escapes judgement. Prayer is the key. Blessings.
