His soft toy looked quite similar to this one

Son’s comfort teddy was called Blue If mislaid it would cause a to do We purchased another So Blue had a brother - I admit that my son never knew! Our son adored his teddy and we were so worried if it got lost or needed washing that he wouldn’t settle so we got a spare. Son would always look a little quizzical when they were swapped for washing as he could recognise the fresh smell of the washing powder but we never let on until now that we ever had a spare 1/7/19

How clever of you to keep a "spare" and wash one while your son was enjoying the other. A delightful limerick, Jan!

Son used to 'gummy' his teddy so it needed to be washed regularly, he always used to look at the fresh one quizically as it must have smelled different when it was washed lol:-) hugs Jan xx

My favorite was my stuffed panda. There's nothing quite like that favorite toy to keep a kid happy. Nicely penned.

All kids have a comfort blanket or toy that calms them down, that was a great idea Jan. Tom.

Good idea Jan, he's getting very observant now so to save tantrums we'll buy two cuddly toys instead of one.

You were so wise! We bought a stuffed panda way too late to effectively fool our middle child; I so wish I would have thought of it much earlier! Wise indeed! Loved the limerick and the smartness of it.

Clever girl! Many children are possessive from Day 1, and who needs another tantrum in their life? Good luck! Aloha! Rico

oh my mom pulled the same kind of switcheroo on me too with my beloved teddy Pinky winky, but I was wise to it and I never came to love its replacement. I wrote my story as a sonnet. THis is sweet, Jan

Life would have been sheer hell if we'd not had the second teddy and Blue 1 as we called him had got lost lol, :-) I'd actually recommend it to other parents to be honest!!:-) hugs Jan xx
