. A c h u r n w a s found in most rural homes in years gone by I hated that job so much, with a passion you might say, but I had to do my share of the work mom would say sing this song, or that song misery now sometimes I miss the old country life, chickens to to feed, playing in the woods the perfume of sweet shrubs floating in the window at dark visiting with neighbors, catching lightning bugs as twilight falls

Hmmm it's cool but what is that word going downward. I never heard of it before. I was thinking the shape was of a broom.but a picture of a churn is above. Is this for churning? Sometimes we see pictures that are ads. That's why I wanted to be sure.

Andrea, The straight up and down says, A Churn Was. Maybe I should have put a space between each word. I will try to see if that will work better. Yes, except the one we had was a pottery one. Back in the day everyone mostly had the pottery ones, and the lid and churn part were of wood. Thanks for dropping by. Sara K

Wonderfully reminiscing in the memories of yore, Sara: ---now sometimes I miss the old country life, chickens to to feed, playing in the woods the perfume of sweet shrubs floating in the window at dark---a splendid shape poem with powerful images of past.

Dear Sara, I loved the design and you have artistically captured the essence of rural life with such nostalgia and sincerity. It's of the simpler times and the routines that shaped our days. Your words evoke memories in me of chores and family, both mundane and magical moments. Such a vivid picture of the past. - Blessings, Daniel

Daniel, I can remember some of the good times from the past. I remember the times of plenty and times of no money to get what was needed. God was with me through it all. Your visits always shed a new light on my work. Sara K
