Tears Of A Pierrot Premiere Contest Winner

Porcelain chalk white mask moves with silence of mime that hides a lovelorn face moonstruck by orbs of light with shadows to embrace. Porcelain chalk white mask a cloak of much disguise hides from the world a heart that has lost its amour and yet, performs for art. Porcelain chalk white mask a jester, clown, for all veils verbal tongue held still; liminal space for words lest written by a quill. Porcelain chalk white mask masquerades as muted gestures on staged display hides tumbling diamond tears - Pierrot to portray …

Hey Tommy, great to see you my friend. Thank you so much for visiting again and leaving such inspiring and encouraging comments. I so appreciate it and it made my day. Like many, my muse has taken leave at the moment but your kindness means a lot and I hope to resume again shortly. Thank you! I’ll visit you very soon. :):)

Very late to the party.. but this is quite beautiful.. I love the 'liminal space for words' line as for me the space between things, places, emotions is the veil that semi-spiritual moment that separates us from the material world. It can be difficult and uncomfortable and yet.. a space for discovery even in the uncertainty of transition, sometimes re-birth.

Dear Sam, hello my dear friend. Wonderful to see you here lighting up the page with such profound, insightful thoughts of which are a delight to read. Thought provoking. Thank you so very much for seeing, feeling, this as a delicate poem - just like little Pierrot’s heart and for your much valued, continuing support. Always welcome to the party … late or not! Hugs … and I’m off to find some marigolds ! X :):)

This is a delicate poem and I want to hold it gently.. just like a fragile porcelain figurine. Nice job Christina and well deserving of recognition! (right I'll do the pots) S:) x

A deep and profound piece Christina. You captured the silent, tortured puppet perfectly. We have all felt manipulated, controlled and betrayed, often left without words or forcible silenced by others, it is a helpless and lonely feeling. The secrets we harbor are dark and deep, there are no words. WOW!!! I loved this write!! A +FAV for me. Exquisite work Christina

A fav for me Christina. My mother gave me a Pierrot music box doll that played Send in the Clowns. I still have that doll! A perfect pairing in my eyes, like your poem. :)

Christina Christina. Hello. I found this extraordinary and I feel blessed to have been able to read such work. Be very proud of your skilled talent because it is skilled. The entry is one to be read out loud slowly with emphasis and feeling. I found this to be in vintage style. Thank you for sharing so freely. Have a beautiful day and weekend. Congratulations, Poetess. It may seem like a simple subject to write above, but it is not. And it takes an artitate to pen such a yesbeauty, I apologize for being late but I don’t follow the contest so I don’t know what’s going on. Nice to see them frequently in San Francisco but I doubt you’re there anymore too violent. That is really sad.. Used to go downtown and I really enjoyed them. Where is the piece about them that I loved! Fantastic job. Pangie xx

Dearest Maria, how wonderful to see you back my dear friend. You have been greatly missed! Thank you so much for visiting and sharing your treasured thoughts. I agree with you about masquerading but the story of little Pierrot is sad - a mime artist who performed on stage making people laugh but whilst doing that, he was concealing a broken heart. It’s so good to have you back dear one. Have a good day. Luv and hugs to you xx

Really enjoyed the exquisite format and the repetition of the beginning line "Porcelain chalk white mask" - this enhances the depth and beauty of your creation. What a great title! To my faves. The clowns or buffoons of a circus show have often moved me. What all sad stories they have to narrate. Behind the mask, they hide their sorrow stricken face. They try to make others laugh while shedding saline tears. Their torn hearts are hidden from the public. This is applicable to most of the men who under the veneer of a smiling face, hide bleeding hearts. Beautifully and poignantly portrayed. Congratulations dear Christina on your well deserved trophy win.

An excellent piece of poetry, with great flow and rhyme ... "Hides from the world a heart ... and yet, performs for art" ... I think many poets can relate to that line, it certainly resonates with me :)
