Take Me To Nirvana

Free me from servitude of constraining boundaries Guiding life’s journey, questing meadows pristine, Beyond void of nothingness, afar hills of misery, Rescuing from oblivion, from doorways of abyss, From pathos of mortality, from realm so ordinary, Take me, sweet fairy, beyond world of drudgery. Thrusting spirit of vitality, show me where to exit, For verdant prairies burbling streams of serenity Buoying ambrosial instincts of ethereal themes, Seeking supernatural intrigue of esoteric dreams Vying ecstatic feelings blossoming dawns of bliss; Take me, sweet fairy, to the frontiers of tranquility. Navigate me away from emptiness roiling destiny, Away from the distraught flaunting pride egoistic, Away from ambitions yearning things materialistic On the wings of enlightenment leading to harmony, Transporting to transcendence~ heavenly, idyllic; Take me, sweet fairy, to peacefulness of sanctity. Lift me above darkness of life’s tenebrous clouds, Enlighten visage of impercipient, ignorant shrouds, Attaining equilibrium within purpose and meaning Discarding grievances that steal virtuous equities; Take me to nirvana ~ to paradise of utopian peace, Take me, sweet fairy, to domain of blissful ecstasy. Only difference between you and modern poets is they destroy English with a confusing usage of words and you use many not-known-to-me words in a perfectly formed meaningful poetry! As I am old I have no interest to refer to the dictionary to know the meaning. If I were young, I would find out the meaning by memorizing it for usage!

I believe each soul truly yearns for this, a hope that is deep. A beautiful place without sorrow or evil. Your poem likens itself in my heart as a picture of angels ministering and lifting the sick, the broken and hurting up to the realms of heaven, a place exhibiting only peace, love, and joy forever. Lovely use of words Vijay, you have an exquisite vocabulary my friend! <3

I hear you, Vijay; well said. Wonderfully expressed. Often when coming down from mystic meditation, though strengthened there is a profound sense of loss...which, in a way, reminds me of the importance of our mission. So, I hang in there. Great read! Thank you.

Vijay, your description of that place makes it sound like an incredible destination. I find myself smirking with every verse, responding to the metaphysical call you're sounding. After experiencing the highs and lows of life, it sounds like you has described the ideal place for us to restore our spirits. All that is required is to find a quiet place, close the eyes, and let the minds wander. I really like your poem and I hope you do well in the contest.

Life can sometimes be a roller-coaster of ups and downs and having somewhere to go to revive our spirits is such a place you discribe Vijay. We only have to find a quiet place, close our eyes and let our mind take us there. Well written verse, best of luck in the contest. Tom

On reading this, I am reminded of Tagore's great poem' Where the Mind is Without Fear'. Indeed an amazing write. All the stanzas and each line, so profound and beautiful. I can predict this is going to be a top winner in Edward's contest. Well done dear friend....

Your words describe such a wonderful place Vijay to go to. The theme reflects ill traits that many have that you realize are not good and reliquish to find happiness. It is almost a heavenly comparison giving up "distraught flaunting pride egoistic" becoming a Better person in following Gods commandments. I can't help but make the relationship with Vijay. As always your creative side shines with this entry... Blessings and best wishes for the contest Vijay...
