Symphony of the Sunrise

Aurora has arrived. The symphony shall start. Andante is its sonata and golden. Cast away is night’s dark cloak. Such lovely art greets each day. To God I am beholden. A reddening beauty becomes the sky as the morning’s goddess is arising. Indigo slides into vibrant blue on high. Oftentimes her splendor is surprising. A minuet plays. With a quickening pace, the sun grows large; the cock crows; the birds sing in long shadows’ glow. Let the finale bring to all of us below dawn’s renewing grace.

Dear andrea, absolutely stunning write and the wordplay here is brilliant! I judged this contest as always with my cousin who is also a poet and we both loved your poem so much! The cadence and the creativeness and depth of what youv conveyed. I especially love the line “ as the morning’s goddess is arising. Indigo slides into vibrant blue on high.” great use of colors and how youve painted imagery is picturesque! Vibrant and melodious! Awakening all senses! Congratulations on your win! Thank u
