Lotus Minerva

She's a diamond sun of snow, envied by venus, lifting her peacock eyelashes to stargaze beyond pinkish petals of mild moonrise, enclosing rusts of rosy jealousy in ancient ruins like lotus Minerva.

I love how you have likened Minerva to the beauty and resilience of the lotus. Very nice Hiya. I'm taken by her "...peacock eyelashes..." :)

I resonated with this poem for some reason, and i cant help but admire so much of what you’ve conveyed here in such brilliant metaphors using symbolism too, creative and clever. I especially love the lines “ envied by venus” “ to stargaze beyond pinkish petals of mild moonrise, “ brilliant use of alliterations as well as adjectives. You have an artistic way of expressing which is unique! Congratulations on your well deserved win. You always know what i like! Thank you for sharing this

Someone did this is mythology but I took it as a flower. Is it personification then? So lovely

Dear Andrea, Minerva is actually the Goddess of wisdom and knowledge, it actually relates to mythology and yes, I added lotus here to personify the qualities, so it can be considered as personification as well as a metaphor :) Thank you so much for reading and for your kind words, I truly appreciate it ~ sending love & light!

Well you've really described someone beautiful. If I weren't married and committed to that relationship, I would have to seek her out and see if I could get a date! Funny how there are some planetary references used above. A very memorable piece!

A beautiful poem that came alive when I could visualize the peacock eyelashes lifting to stargaze. Ancient ruins took me to a different world of ages past. This Fibonacci rocks.
