Keepers of Wishing Stars
Tonight I sit and wander
through stars~ my perennial
freshening sparkling...of old familiar
constellations –
attention drawn
to some dim and distant
wondering of the many wishes
perhaps misplaced
of mine and countless worlds
of yet searching others....
Tonight I sit and wonder
with a heartfelt sigh, how
many disappointed have
stopped faithful wishing,
stopped their joyful singing –
how many fewer guitars with warmth
of feeling no-longer soulfully strumming
for a heart needs romantic reason
if to keep going its tender humming...
so, myself, a poet~ Romance's ink-full benefactor
tonight write for gleaming heavens, a darling new
twinkle-r – penning words dipped in glitter
for a yearning lonely sitter, as if my lyrical
clusters were enticing jewels for every dreamer's misplaced
coupling diadem....
Surely, some high-flying angel, or goddess will
take fond notice, for bards long the pet and fancy
of the Keepers of Wishing Stars –
