I Stroked Monty Python
I went to an ‘animal experience’ its something I won’t forget
Sitting there on benches with a canopy to stop us getting wet
The first creature we saw was a giant cockroach – it was sooooo big
We had the chance to hold it I said ‘no way’ just put it on a twig
Next we saw a giant African snail
The thought of holding it made me go quite pale
Finally they brought out the snakes
I was so scared I got the shakes
But ‘Monty’ python was so stunning
I was good and didn’t go off running
The lady held it for us to touch
So warm and soft it wasn’t rough
Touching a snake does not hold such a fear
I will be brave again if I go next year
