George Eliot

George Eliot, an important English Victorian Era writer, born Mary Ann Evans, she must have been quite the fighter. Supporting abolitionists and loving whomever she wanted, “Marion” went against the norms, seemingly undaunted!

I had to read Silas Mariner many times, to teach it to my daughter for her exams. A writer that left her mark forever. Blessings

George was quite an anomaly back in the day. Perhaps born 150 years 'too early.' Nice work, Andrea!

Yes, she was quite a fighter, and went out to show that women could match men in many ways. I remember reading her book Silas Marner when I was a teenager. ~ Regards // paul
