DON'T FORGET UKRAINE?

Russia invaded their neighbour, Ukraine on the 22nd February 2022.
Putin claimed Ukraine was harbouring neo Nazis, a claim I find hard to
believe given the fact that President Zelensky is himself Jewish.
Putin had hoped to assassinate the president and his family and take
over Ukraine within two weeks and install a Putin puppet, the Ukrainians
were alerted to the plan, by would you believe, someone in the Russian
Intelligence Service who was opposed to the invasion.
Ukrainian special forces surrounded President Zelensky with a ring of steel and all the would be assassin's were eliminated.
Ukraine is fighting for its survival and freedom and we should continue supporting
that heroic nation who are at times outmanned and outgunned.

Between an unjust war or peace, which would you choose? Ukraine had no choice so we must ensure they don't lose Russian thugs invaded Ukraine to reinstate the Iron Curtain And this is only the very beginning and of that I am certain. I know it's a big ask, the Ukrainian people asking for more But do you really want Russian thugs banging on your door With the west and NATO's help Ukraine are holding their own Now is not the time for the west, to look away and disown. NATO and the civilised world should never bow to tyranny If we're not united against Putin he will look on with glee Don't waver in your support of this brave and proud nation Don't hand Putin a hollow victory for the Russian Federation. Like most of the civilised world, Ukraine wants to live in peace If Putin wins do ask yourself, who's next, Estonia or Greece? We've supported the Ukrainian people from the very beginning Only with our support have they got a good chance of winning. It's been nearly two years now and Putin hasn't yet succeeded Ukrainians are fighting for their lives, but more arms are needed It is certainly not the time for our politicians to argue about cost If they do, it will be on their heads that freedom's war was lost. I look forward to the day when Putin is put on trial in The Hague Who's been the cause of so many deaths, more than the plague Don't vote for gutless politicians who want to look the other way Only by us being totally united will we be able to make Putin pay. What a moving write. The world is in horrifying shape I hope 4 years will go by fast. I worry about the children the most. Your poem motivated me to write one about the Ukraine situation too. Yours is powerful, thought provoking and moving. There is always hope. United we stand, divided we fall. A few new countries have donated money to the Ukraine needs, shaming the orange faced clown. The United Kingdom being one. Your poem moved me and gave me a little hope.

Thank you very much Marikate, with the wests help Ukraine was putting up a brave fight against Russia. I can't believe the orange faced clown has sided with putin, who's caused thousands of deaths and I hope he burns in hell. How Zelensky was treated at the white house was nothing short of disgraceful. Trump, Vance and Musk are destroying your great country. Tom

Thank you very much Regina, Putin thought he could just march in, how wrong was he, we should allow Ukraine to use western weapons as they see fit. Putin misjudged the strength and determination of the Ukrainian people. Tom

As I always put 'war whats it good for' if only Enriches the billionairs Tom.. I beleive Zelensky Is 'staying on instead of allowing an election? I Think Putin is a hard enough leader who will Have ordered more than enough killings..But I don't see him as a fool.) he is keeping peace for Armenia' I also see that..? And once he dies That will be the real danger time.' Then the west will Try and put people in power there' and God knows who else will try a power grab? Yet the Milatary he has built up '

Thank you very much Nancy, still cant believe it's still going on, the Ukrainians are certainly putting up a great fight and we should continue to support them. If we don't then other crackpots will see it as a green light to do what Putin has done. Tom

Thank you Andrea, they've been through hell, but they are holding their own from what ive heard. Russian sends wave after wave of convicts and the dregs of their society, I did hear Ukraine was low on ammunition, I really hope they win this senseless war. Been nearly two years now. Tom

Wonderful reminder. I remember his own people protesting and then being arrested, I wonder if they are still alive. We must stand with the innocent and brave people of Ukraine, I will not forget them, they are so often on my mind and heart.

Dear Tom, This is an excellent poem and every thing you said here is absolutely true. The people of Ukraine were not the invaders, only wanting to live in their democracy, in peace. It's where our monies should be spent, supporting this democracy.

Amen to that, Tom. I detest the BBC with a vengeance, and frankly, ITV too. They got a bit bored with Ukraine and switched their interest to Isreal/Hamas. I mean, kick out the bloody sports results (and put them in a sports program) and PRESTO room for two wars. But, seriously, if Putin ever winds up in the electric chair… show me the switch! An incitive write if ever there was one. Terry

Thank you very much Anni, the world is full of evil right now and it seems to be getting worse as time goes on. Sadly we see evidence of atrocities against innocent civilians who bear the brunt of the conflict. If only people would sit down and sort out their differences instead of bombing and shooting each other. We long for that day. Tom

A FAV, Tom. The message must get out. Now is the time to double down, not a time to give up. To many have already given their lives for the right to be free. Russia must not be allowed the re-establish control over the country that broke away. Putin is a beast in man's clothing. He must be stopped. Thank you very much Bill, If we don't give Ukraine the support that they need now then we'll suffer the consequences of it in years to come. Putin in his lust for power will stop at nothing to achieve it, his lapdogs are waiting in the wings to see if he does, Putin is testing us to see how far he can go, the world will become very unstable if he achieves his goals. Thank you very much Jerry, I've supported Ukraine from Feb 2022 and told the story of what those Russian thugs have done to those brave Ukrainians people, it's not a special military operation as that dog Putin calls it but an attack on innocent civilians and non military infrastructure. He's a war criminal and a mass murderer of the innocent. Tom

Politicians are interested only in power. They are least concerned about the safety or well being of people. It is remarkable that such a small nation as Ukraine could so far withstand the assault of a mighty power like Russia. In a war there are only losers. I wish this war ends at the earliest. Thank you very much Valsa, I think some politicians expect Ukraine to just kick out the Russian invaders, forgetting Russia is a superpower and supported by that other rogue state Iran. It will take time but I'm confident with the west's support they'll succeed. So much conflict in our world right now and I can't see it getting any better any time soon.
