June
I dated the astronaut, June
(the woman who lived on the moon);
on telly she said,
'It messed up my head' -
I guess you could call her a loon...

Premium Member Two Drinks Turn To Gloom
A car ran
thru the city
so fast
without caution
that doom was point blank
the car spun
around
ground attack
flipping
on its back
hurling sparks
that lit a bomb off
throngs of victims at loss
a
villain drank too much

Spring Halo
Flora blooms,
Joy runs through rooms,
Frail boughs sprout,
A victory shout.

Birds sing,
Happy hymns,
As colours display,
Along dawn's way.

Warmth swings low,
Frost throws no blow.
All is bright,
It's factual light.

Rain drums roll,
Lightnings toll.

In today’s crazy, topsy-turvy world, you do what you gotta do, pick up jobs as you can, but I must say it is a bit awkward to do your job taking ‘grams door-to-door only to find that you must land a kiss on your boss’s lips…
————— an ‘e’ lipogram that will not be delivered to any contest doors… :-)...

In a world void of trust and loyalty
It's hard to find a happy family

It's as though it's nothing unusual in this country
Said air thick with vulgarity, disdain, and incivility

I lock my mind and turn to music, obstructing the cacophony
Blocking its aim to drain my will, continuing on with probity
Soothing songs of faith wash through my soul, guarding my tranquility...

No a Lipogram
Does not your lips wish mine
Does not your soul need me
Your voice softens my mind

Intriguing my thoughts
Wishing for your desire
Hoping for your love to find mine

Doth this love frighten you
Doth this love require hope like mine
Doth this love need to find me

Check and look you will see
My love trying to find you
Love me like I love you

A Fun Lipogram
It was so tough
Making this song
Without a bit of stuff
And composing it long.

Though it sounds plain
Know my hardship;
I dont want to abstain
So I'm straining my grip.

This is now fun
Now that I'm through
I will do it again
And try to win it too.

Although it's just
A dripping dam,
With a proud hand, i must
Sign my first lipogram.

Walk On the Moon
Moonlight spills into my window,
Coloring gray my room.
Happy am I with the glory of God
Shown in the stars.
Darkness runs away from light rays
As an owl hoots on a branch.
Wild animals prowl throughout the land.
Long ago, a man did walk on our moon.
That is now history.
What if I could walk on the moon, too,
Not just sit in my room?
That is a brilliant thought!

INDECISION
He fell in love when he met her In nineteen eighty seven But didn’t get round to telling her Till June of twenty-eleven He’d drunk some double whiskeys, Followed up with gin, Then turned up on her doorstep, Begging to be let in. He told her how he loved her, He got down on one knee. She told him he’d left it too long For she’d wed in ninety-three. 8th June 2021 Lipogram contest - No A Sponsor - Emile Pinet...

In Front of God
IN FRONT OF GOD
You stood in church and said your vows In front of God. You would stay faithful all our days. So it is odd I think that, only six months on, You’d walk away. Was it my fault; was I lacking? You did not say. You said it was a man from long ago, A boy from school. A thing you could not fight against. Oh what a fool, To think I had you all my days 18th July 2020 Lipogram poem poetry contest Sponsor Emile Pinet...

Premium Member Golf On Sundays
I play golf on Sundays.
On fairway, I hit straight.
Hitting ball with iron clubs
ball soars high in air
It is such a sight to
watch it soar and land
at a spot you aimed for.
Pushing it for a putt
I put it in a cup with a flag
and try to win my match
with par or low count
such as gaining a bird.
A drink to mark finish
of a good occupation
along with your fourballs
is a satisfying finish.

In the kingdom of Pu’u ‘O’o,
domicile of Pélé
summits of molten stone
crowned with ginger blossoms, orchids, hibiscus,
the stone hips of the wells of fire were skirted with towering fronds;
the ground moved
with rhythmic steps,
Pélé’s Thunder drums.

Joy poured down the rock
red, yellow, glowing-gloss rolling like honey
over the edge of the cliff,
turning the surf, the tide, the brine into clouds.

I thought writing this would be fun Though Emile’s contest I won’t shun My words will not flow Bonce is being slow My muse whispers why don’t you run! I’m sitting here on my blue stool I’ve finished my poem, it’s cool Now I must check my work From this job I won't shirk By following Emile’s vowel rule!
