It's Mother's Day soon and I was wondering what I could write. Hope this is good enough. Lewis Carrol wrote a cute one in Alice's Adventures In Wonderland and I got the idea for it from there. However mine is quite different. ;)
(Inspired by Lewis Carrol's poem "You Are Old Father William".)
You are old Mother Willa,
The young girl said,
And your hair is turning quite grey.
You use creams and lotions,
To lessen the signs,
That time has left on your face.
You've worked very hard,
For all of your life,
And you say you're doing just fine.
Though you're spry as can be,
It's not hard to see,
You have trouble towing the line.
Slow down Mother Willa,
The young girl said,
Let someone else pull the plow.
The hill is too steep,
And you've earned your keep.
Let us take care of you now.
