Oh those days of young love and what might have been. Your poem brought back so many memories bringing a smile to my face. Remembering that young girl that did say yes taking me back to a time I want to relive again.

I'm getting old Daver, however, that will never change my love for poetry. And I sure love this write, the stare and the placement you gave her. Love ~SKAT~

Are you kidding? These are for humor. I've never had enough courage to make a pitch. Love, daver

LOL! Oh, that would be a cold, hard, granite face, Daver! Asked her out to return her 'wet rag'? Might have been a gesture of chivalry on your part. An amusing write! Keep well, love, Mikki

Oh Daver, this is funny and tragic at the same time. Young feelings can be so intense. Did she really blow and throw? BG

If a girl had blown and thrown I'd have dipped her curls in the ink well. These are for laughs only. Love, daver

The author slowly opens his heart to the reality confronting him and shuns his naivety and wants relief from his hurt. Emile.

I was a fat kid and could have cried had any of this happened, but I was a fat kid with a good humor. I'd have laughed. Love, daver
