Nightingale sings to herald spring,
I watch nervous fledglings take to wing.
Children build sandcastles that reach the sky,
parents sunbathe on the beach -
summer holiday fun!
The busy farmer never stops,
works from the break of dawn.
He’s harvesting the golden crops
of barley, oats and corn.
filigree snowflakes
gently blanket flowerbeds -
robin redbreast chirps
crystalline 8,9 syllables
kimo 10,7,6 syllables
quatrain 8,6,8,6 syllables
haiku 5,7,5 syllables
All checked with how many syllables
