Sometimes, a friend can make me quite irritated,
they seem to say things without thinking;
trying to explain the why makes me so frustrated,
the whole thing leaves my spirit sinking !
We part ways with loud and angry words said,
I recall each one while lying in my bed;
it hurts to lose a friend that I truly, truly loved,
someone dear now has become unloved !
The dance of anger is such a difficult tangled thing,
as the days pass offended feelings fade;
to good memories of us I recall and cling,
I just want my friend though I feel betrayed !
When my friend calls to talk I am thrilled,
it seems this has not a friendship killed;
so, in the end I swallow my anger for love,
for time is short before we will all be above !
