Tax Limerick
There once was a man from Halifax
Who refused to pay all of his tax
He failed the audit
Although he fought it
Now in a jail cell he tries to relax
He was sent to a prison for white collar crime
And in there he would serve all of his time
He tried his best
To fool the IRS
But ended up the subject of this little rhyme
Now our taxes are used to keep him at bay
Which add up to more than he didn’t pay
So it costs us more
Than if he was ignored
Kind of ironic, don’t you think, is what I say
