season gracefully tantalizing our senses ,
filling our arid heart with euphoric delight...
autumn.. tiptoeing softly with secret steps, veiled,
in a soothing miraculous cascade of light.
invigorating stroll around the block, spotted
on the tall maple ..cerise, tangerine, red leaves,
delightful roses are still beaming, a few sprawled,
strewn at ground, dejected petals summer's dreams weave.
crimson, orange, amber, scarlet hued autumn-leaves
twirling, swirling, spiralling, in the golden breeze,
waltzing down, decoupage of kaleidoscopic
glorious beauty, swooshing around tranquil trees!
feel fleecy warmth of mellow air fleeting away,
warm sun shines on ruby apples, milkweed seeds fly,
bountiful maples ready for tapping, serene
comforting childhood is back in memory's eye.
intoxicated with aroma of sunshine,
playful autumn lures us gleefully gamble in
riot of colours, beauty of a fairyland
a rare painting by nature, pageant sure to win!
