"FINALLY BRETHREN, WHATEVER IS TRUE, WHATEVER IS HONORABLE, WHATEVER IS RIGHT, WHATEVER IS PURE, WHATEVER IS LOVELY, WHATEVER IS OF GOOD REPUTE, IF THERE IS ANY EXCELLENCE AND ANYTHING WORTHY OF PRAISE, LET OUR MIND DWELL ON THESE THINGS." Philippians 4:8
Profanity's a loathsome thing.
The words used are the worst,
Expressing thoughts most vile and crude.
Such language is perverse;
For when we speak we show the world,
What dwells within our mind,
And as he thinks so is the man,
We really haven't time,
To waste on words of guilt and shame,
That hurt even their user;
For words have power, don't forget,
Once said they can leave bruises,
That stay o'er long and cause great pain.
Be careful what you say,
And guard your thoughts lest you forget,
And let the devil play,
Little games within your mind,
For that's where sin begins;
So study hard and think good thoughts,
And just don't let him in.
