PLEASE an erotic Devotion poem

Please. Please — (I ache desire) …So Let us drop our clothes to dress the floor And breathe a pause in our dance of alluring To flavor the anticipation With our eyes reflection of our passion’s eager invitation For your paced approach… To advance… To fall over me… Completely, So I am then with the all of you — Moving the afternoon’s darks to light To ignite constellations within me… As we lie bare and you need Barely to touch me — turning your fingers into feathers so I tingle all through becoming unaware of anything else ~ Losing consciousness, to float — Equally losing egos to gain the enthralling — And own the moment’s sensual progression — As you answer my opening And I meet your conquering With my own instant’s overwhelming… Rising warmed With our hearts’ full embrace so Wondrous inside. ——————————— I could add, “Yes, still, after 40 years.” (c) sally young eslinger 5/1/2024I could add, —————*** This love poem is more erotic than my usual love poems. It was inspired after listening to Caroline Kennedy ‘s anthology of poems about human relationships, having a chapter called, “Making Love.” e.e. cummings wrote one that was read, also O’Hara and Donne. Wow!

How gorgeous and breath taking, Sally, glad to know you still have the fire after 40 years, love how evocative your lines are, especially 'turning your fingers into feathers' - just stunning!

Sure it's erotic, but written appropriately. Been too long since we met on PS.

your poem is both elegant and subtly sensual. Your creativity and poetic voice shine through here. I especially liked these lines: Losing consciousness, to float —Equally losing egos to gain the enthralling — wishing you a pleasant evening & good to see your poems again, hugs, Sara

Sally, yes this captures the feeling of attraction and what happens to us during a pleasant sexual connection. You did this really well, without shame, and you describe it in terms we can all identify with. I am smiling and thinking I have to stay calm. At the urologist I see, the nurse told me no sex for several days before a PSA test. This keeps the readings consistent. Just a bit of trivia that some older males have to deal with. I'm one of those. LOL!

Duke, thank you ffor commenting. I wish more was discussed in media about senior sex, as it is, say, about arthritis. Off to eye dr…….another senior health thing.

One never tires of physical desire and its ability to enliven greater when love. I think I would miss this most when in heaven (if I get there)...hope there are some very similar fond enchantments. Well said. Have a great day my friend.
