Ode To a Goldfish

Have you ever sat while deep in thought, on a brand new toilet seat that you just bought? Maybe you wondered and felt despair, about that poor little goldfish you flushed down there. Was he dead or just fast asleep? Could he make the ocean in his final leap? It’s truly a mystery we may never know. Now I’m wondering how far one could go. Maybe a GPS tracker tucked in with a twig. Would he continue to grow, would he get really big? I sit here and wonder with time to waste. Is this poem a beauty, or simply bad taste.

"Is this poem a beauty, or simply bad taste." Neither, it is just a chuckle, a moment of light relief in a dark world. So far all of your poems that I have read been deeply honest whether it's painfully honest or amusingly honest. ((Happy honest hugs)) Mark
