Congrats on the selection. We have a bunch of teen agers running around our neighborhood dressed in black with hoods. I hope they are not aliens because they live next door. Love the poem, love ya. daver

Very nice write, Carolyn, and interesting topic .. black.. I tend to wear more black than I should but it just seems to suite me.. my sister is always yelling ..u are too petite to keep wearing black and I guess she is right sometimes... I do love red, pink, purple and green and suddenly am into turquoise.. this poem makes one think... whom can u trust? glad u enjoyed my Jeus poem.. if I didi not start my day with HIM .... well they would not all be "happy days" .. You're so right. I hate wearing black as black is not a colour for me. Of course, some people have to wear black, but black is for me the colour of mouring and not for joy and life. Well done Limerick, Carolyn! Love, Gert

Thanks for commenting Carolyn. Actually I was writing from the hearts of my grandson and his wife, the parents of my great-grandson who died last Saturday. They will be consumed with what-ifs for awhile and I suffer with them. Love, Joyce

This was a great movie and your poem is delightful! Yes, black suits and sunglasses at night... makes one think! I almost had to call out the MIB squad on the 'room mate' which by the way, is no longer. Out of the house and it was almost G. Springer material! I'll fill you in via email when I get the chance. Catching up with reading here and checking the entries in my contest. Hugs and much love always dear friend.

Agents of misinformation, their purpose is to spread confusion and fear. I call it the theory of confounding. When you have a truth you wish to cover up, lie about it, lie about it so much that in the end the truth itself becomes unbelievable.... your work is always a pleasure to read Carolyn

Smile! This makes me laugh dear! It seems a tad bit out of "Your Pretties Norm!!?" Smile, and I wonder, whom are those men in black? I have been wanting to get to "Your Precious Splendors, Beautiful Carolyn Devonshire!!!":):):) ~ And I sincerely hope that "Your Lovely" has been doing splendidly dear lady....And "Thank You" for "Your" comment; for it is always such a pleasure to see "Your Beauty!!!" ~ Smile, but, do watch out for those men in black...."Love to You, John!!!":):) On we go....

Hi Carolyn, Green!!! The answer to your question is, my favorite color and a symbol of personal growth, many shades of green for growth... Growth, for me, is an ongoing life process. Hopefully, the men in black won't adorn my doorsteps anytime soon. Sometimes, they seem to be everywhere, though. God Bless you, Lovingly, Dane

First short poem I have ever read from you. This is why I don't believe everything I hear or see, I find myself being judgemental. Enjoyed this short gem as always and enjoy your evening.

Carolyn, this is a great limerick, I love it, but would you explain, Black robs, or black suits. I think either would be very appropriate. Especially coming form you. Thank You Bill

Who are the "black suited men". I hope I don't run into them! I selected you to write a poem for John Loving 11's "haunting" series of poems after Heidie Buys selected me. If you have already been named suggest someone else to continue the haunting. Sincerely Matthew Anish
