Love

“One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life. The word is love.” —Sophocles, Greek Poet Love The strong intensity, of primal love, He’d tossed from a tree, choice gift from above. She caught the apple in her snow white glove. As Newton’s gold fell, the cooing of doves. Soon, or later, a claddaugh surprises. Hands holding one heart in friendship sunrise. The crown under for better or worse skies. He’d be called for service…can’t say goodbyes. Farsickness - rains every day in their eyes. He longs for faraway places…she sighs. He carries one photo, but she - a prize. All his pain and suffering, worth the highs. No letters, Dear John or Jane, on the fence. They put their all in - survival intense.

I had my plan to see it last night but I fell asleep so that was out, however, they say if we are not covered with clouds there should be a better chance today so I plan once again to try. I have always wanted to see it in person so God has given me this opportunity if I blow it, it is on me. Sara K

You are so unique in your approach to every subject, dear Kim. Your diction is never 'the- run- of- the mill' type. You use elegant and lofty diction. All the Best!

such eloquent words, beautifully put together, dear Kim. The fluidity of your poem was spot on & Iiked these lines, for I'd never heard of 'farsickness.' Farsickness - rains every day in their eyes. He longs for faraway places…she sighs. Best wishes with the contest, hugs, Sara

Your "Love" is a wonderful write. A powerful word. Many times misused. True love can be hard to find. "Good Luck" Have a wonderful day.............
