Lesser Forms

Again, you gave writing a go; In shame you now hang your head low. You once had a sonnet Or two in your bonnet; Now limericks are all that you know.

Blessed Limericks - Limericks were born in the Emerald Isle - Offering folks a dandy laugh for awhile - Over tea or beer - They bring us good cheer - A poem's such a blessing when it gives us a smile. Welcome back! All my best, Robert

Wit and sorrow combined - successfully! Brilliant poem - and in Limerick form no less! Well done.

The bee in your bonnet Once was a sonnet, but for now the limericks draw you in. We go through different periods of time. I don’t think writing a limerick is easier.
