Johnny Jump Up

Admire a Summer Flower Contest
*************************************************************

Hey, Johnny Jump Up,
Mischievous elf,
Your look like Viola,
Not like yourself.
Same shape, same colors -
Before our eyes,
Your yellow and purple,
Quite the disguise.

Vibrant, bright colors
Painted on your five petals
Love, luck and happiness
Your gifts on us settles,
You love the warm meadows
And cool ocean breezes
Magician of summer
You won't make us sneeze.

Until I read the second stanza, I couldn't guess that it is a flower. I thought you were referring to a mischievous imp. The last line made me smile. Your sense of humor is evident in this poem.
