If I Could Be Love

My last first kiss begs to brush across your thirsting lips   surrender with me to the night   to the way of the wind,   graceful in flight   dancing freely   out over a moonlit sea   glowing in glory   as we both now breathe     come put yours into mine   let pure warmth overcome   and burn your name   into the marrow of my soul     If I could be love,   I would be you     a port of protection   where the waters lie still   and hopeless has come to rest     feeling all your feels     my head nestled upon your chest   listening to your music   a heartbeat on fire   euphoric and filled with desire     If I could be love,   I would be you   and you could be me
