very funny, check out my Haiku, "Bombs Away". I had never considered the bird expressing itself in this manner. I like the break you created between the first and second line.

Ed, your little pigeon poem is delightful, it made me smile, a perfect 7, here in my city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada we have a lot of pigeons and a lot of statues, the downtown area is full of pigeons, God painted them all in lovely colors and I just love that cooing song, thanks for visiting my poem, a day in my life . . .

Actually we have more doves in this area of Oregon than pigeons. They seem to have come from out of know where recently. Their sounds...http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Eurasian_Collared-Dove/sounds ~ Thank you for sharing :)
