Those clouds look like they would be soft and one could just float away a day...
Cooking is all I do That is why I am blue I think that I'll skip a day Run away from mankind There's no contract I signed Disappear and today play Jump on a cloud up high Float far above the sty Of life's big problems; hooray! In honor of Dr.Ram Contest: Balassi Stanza

This is a nice form that Dr. Ram chose for his contest. I started to write for this last week and placed it on the back burner. You are so correct that skippin a day of working around the house is a treat. You hope that your family appreciates all the details of your labor of love and when they don't reciprocate the excitement, you get burnt out. Doing the dishes is my least favorite...making bread is my most! Have a great day, Sara.

Funny, I don't do any of it any more and miss it! Two sides of the coin but I do remember feeling just as you describe - we humans are so complex. Nice thought Sara

What an awesome write Sara! I've had the same experience...wanting to take a vacation, then just doing it! Letting all of life's troubles float on by without letting them bother me a bit! This poem was a definite inspiration to me... thanks for the write! You'll do well in Dr.Ram's contest!!

I thought this was the case only in the east...lol Very true in most cases, I wish her a longlasting and peaceful vacation, and some sense into her husband too. Thanks for your comments too, Sara, really encouraging

Hey, sounds like you were inspired by the hated household chore contest when you did this one for the other contest of Dr.Ram. I bet he will love it, Sara. I would not be blue cooking all the time. It's the other crap I hate about housework, the CLEANING part. haha.
