"I'm okay, you're okay is a mask in the land of pretend "
I live in a vast land known as pretend,
it is a sad place of death and decay;
I'm okay ... I tell family and friend.
But, in truth I relive all deaths- each day,
in my mind's eye are the graves where they lay.
I wear a mask, and guise, and a false face,
hiding, never facing grief face-to-face.
But, I must or I will never be healed,
and if I can, you can ... the past retrace;
no more shield- we need all to be revealed.
