I think that this is a case of first come first served! But the heron need not worry...there are lots more fish where that one came from! Hugs // paul

Very nice, Jan! Can't feel too sorry for the heron as the fisherman needs to eat too. Best wishes in Maureen's contest! Hugs, Carolyn

Nice short poem. I need someone to go fishing with. Last year I went out on a boat and fished in the ocean - and caught a fish! Peace & Love Matthew Anish

Brilliant Jan, I actually went fishing yesterday and there was a heron across the river. I tried throwing a fish I caught over to him but I came up short (lol) bad day to be a heron. Hugs // Charlie xx

I'm not sure if Mo is looking for a haiku type poem so I am casting my net into the contest lol:-) I was observing a heron on a walk before I go to work on exams for the past few weeks - they are incredible fishermen:-) hugs jan xx

That may not be the end. I once caught an Apache trout, threw it on the bank, heard a flap, and saw an hawk fly off with my fish, so it isn't food until you swallow it and it puts heron your head …. Well said! Aloha! Rico
