Does Anybody Care

Does anyone care? I cared to reach the highest peak to reach the height of my degree not caring where the future lay now I will find of what I seek a poem I know will cherish me to lead me to the promised way an actor who renewed his fate an oil painting up to date established egos moving on it’s time to write another song a leap to fame will not last long they’ll come a time when they are gone I begin to age aggresively without the trace of memories eroding life as time has past and time for mortality has cast winnowing soon to lay a shroud to enter in a moving cloud but who will care what I endeared another raindrop of the arts absorbed by heat to disappear the difficulties I have fared with memories no longer there Does Anybdy care? I Love this thought-provoking poem that you have written. Alas, in the end, I think as long as we try to be the best that we can be as a person. And scribe from the heart and stay faithful to ourselves, then let the rest sort it's self out. Stay safe and well. JC Hawkens

I ran out of room. I thank you for this and hope the fact that its meaning means so much to me on such a deep level will ease the chill of the fall/winter line for you (I refuse to just mention winter yet - give me time.) I don't worry about not being here any longer because I don't believe we are ever gone anymore than we are ever really here, but I do ponder it w/o fear and appreciate your references to it. Again, FAVing Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Oh, my gosh - you did that miraculous thing that poet's achieve only rarely - you wrote of my own thoughts/feelings that I've not yet been able to write about. I applaud this; these are thoughts we find on the verge of leaving fall, right? Memories lost, I often said, "I'll Never Forget This" but I haven't a clue what it was I'd remember, aging aggressively (it feels), being but a swept out dust bunny in life's mansion - all of it, Ralph. I'm faving this cause I'm selfish and it's about me!

Our words left behind keep a spark from our lifetime alive making us a bit immortal. You have done this for your loved ones Ralph! Beautiful! xxoo

You give us food for thought here, Ralph. It would be nice to be remembered for something good we've done, especially by family and friends, but we are just a grain of sand in an enormous desert...I doubt how much anyone would notice! But never say never; many artist became famous years after they passed away! Regards // paul

I think poets fare well as our words bring us back to life each time they are read. Well expressed Ralph.

I understand this to be that theme I have written of in the past : fear of not being remembered after our deaths. Nobody can stay alive in memories when the last person they ever knew has passed away; however, I truly believe it does not matter because once we move on, we are going to know another adventure beyond this world. A thought provoking write, Ralph

Ralph - I thought it high time I commented on one of your poems. You and your poetry will always be remembered but I do understand - who will care - maybe a lot more than you think! I think the same sometimes. Brilliant poem good luck in the contest! Blessings, Jennifer.

Ralph, I hope this is simply a poem. It is always sad when someone starts to lose their memory. Good luck!
