Notes About The Poem

Following on from October and November rain... It is still raining..

December Rain

Unexpectedly the timid sun made an appearance, an orb of flames, silent amidst the peaceful horizon. Wistfully, the harmony was short lived. Ferocious winds blew with merciless tones. Melancholic rain returning with little remorse. Inclement storms battering emotions, brutally defeating them into oblivion. Raindrops soaked like predatory demons, in conjunction with bloodthirsty winds, lost within the abyss of anguish and pain, seeking shelter from vicious venomous daggers. I stumbled upon the marketplace of sorrow, surrounded by souls lost to a religion of perturbation. Ambushed I remained, impatiently in this downpour degradation, counting down the days of disturbing December deterioration. Silent One Originally written in 6 December 2015 Repost: 7 December 2017

Oh, this pain is so wet cold, SO. You delivered the dark emotions felt w/great emotional imagery in this outstanding poem. You write Free Verse so well ... so visceral defined. As always, your pen shines bright ... even thru the darkness of which you write. Powerfully penned poetry. Love and smiles always, bruh.

Such woeful sorrow expressed in your pensive write Silent One. Beautiful melancholy in deep tones of sadness and shades of longing for the 'timid sun'. Stunning throughout, your last stanza was an artistically conveyed standout. The piano piece was hauntingly beautiful as well. Warmest wishes my friend. ~Susan

- Melancholy is fortunately not a disease - Much beautiful art is melancholy, such as your poem, S.O. - hugs and happy weekend // Anne-Lise :)

Oh! send some rain down under we badly need it, though without the unremorseful melancholic note please. Si, as always the use of metaphors, your flowing liquid lines all go to make up yet another one of your brilliant poems, and the music choice is wonderful.....Maria

A most interesting one, Silent One. I have written of WARM December, which was a very lovely one but this one is quite the opposite! How horrible for a rain to continue from the fall as you said in the notes!! Good one that I see is a repost. you should have a great many poems to repost!!

The extremely dark, melancholic piano couldn't be more perfect for your amazing write Silent One. And to finalize with a flatline! It's almost as if reading a cinematic production. Each line dripping with sadness and weighted emotion. Just brilliant of course!!
