Colors of Pumpkin

colors of pumpkin, vermillion and deep gold--- veiled mysteries air branches intertwine in a sea of canopies--- harvest moon rises gilded by the dawn and swayed by a seasoned wind--- shades of art abound

I was speaking of autumn in my first haiku. Guess I veiled it a bit too much. I used pumpkin as one of the autumn colors. Thanks so much for your comment Jack. I think Owen thought I was speaking of pumpkins too.

Connie, thanks for your wonderful words on the bird sonnet. I think you are able to read "about poem" by clicking above my poem on that part. I just added a little comment about the bird that inspired that poem and I hope you will read it. It is something I really enjoy seeing every time I come home from work recently! About the soupmail you sent me, I agree with you!! (you can see my comment at the blog)

Connie, now this is what I call metaphorical haiku. The type that our mutual friends would not accept as haiku. but i tell you what. THESE ROCK!!! I especially love the middle one.
