I wonder if a maple tree grieves,
when bidding adieu to falling leaves.
I wonder does the tree wear a frown,
as it loses its pretty autumnal gown.
Once vivid green, now leaves are dead,
in shades of gold, umber and vibrant red.
A crisp leaf blanket lies on the ground,
I hear their crunch as I stroll around.
Leaves swirling, twirling to the floor,
this gorgeous sight I simply adore.
How I love the colors seen in fall,
it’s the prettiest season of them all!
