I'm with Andrea partly ... not sure what he means by that. But I do agree with the rest. Originality is a clever re-mixing of the cliche and the classics ... making it into our own is what makes it art.

Hmmm, not sure what I think of some parts of this quote. mature poets steal? I guess it's all in how we are looking at the quote.

Good poets have broken hearts. They use the spirits that feel sorry for them and give them things to say. I'm almost torn up inside, it comes and goes. I'll be back writing if this keeps up. And sorry for the drama.
