A Liquid Pool of Night
I carried a liquid pool of night
in my pocket
In a glass tied with black ribbon
There it lay, snug and tight
The day was overly long
The night was due
I reached inside my pocket
Took out the glass tied with black ribbon
Poured out some liquid night
and watched the suns' changing hue
Tied with a ribbon, velvet and dark
Strewn with stars
I carried a pool of liquid night
In my pocket
There it lay
Snug and tight
Awaiting for tomorrows' night
