Maidens Lament

Maiden's Lament

Rewinding the memories of angst lost, broken
Our souls make solemn demands against our hearts

Thoughts uneasy, shattered, remembering time's lies
Deliver us, reluctant, unto today's reckoning revealed

Believing yet another, today's promise is unspoken
Love and solace abound in time of yesterday's pain

Maiden enthralled within, peace is found upon the mist
Innocence remains for the chosen, pain forbidden now

Living through the windows of tomorrow, pathways ascending
Dreams realized within her heart, a oneness is embraced

Joys released without hesitation, spirits renewed forever
Beauty and enchantment unrehearsed, life's danger's forgotten

A Choice Made

A Choice Made

Driving rain darkness surrounds him now a choice has been made, now here in the thicket deep with rich fir rising to the heavens.
Why? Where? How? Questions whose answers are not yet ascertained, known only sad dialogue depicting terrible acting.

Beginnings, Endings what is the plot? Has he forgotten the lines to his own story? Life does he dare ask? Question? Been forgotten?
Madman or Charming fellow his is a journey among the sharp rocks and wild flowers, laughing yet dying on the inside beyond view.

Curious to the naked eye the viewer cannot yet determine an ending to the play called life, Reality is touched if for a moment.
Stage is lighted as the man makes his entrance from the left hand side a silence has fallen over the gathering crowd, forming.

Time has now gone to the other side of the pendulum now lines appear on once youthful face showing cracks, telling a tale of many lies.
As the clock ticks on no one is immune from her touch we all must keep in step lest be left behind, Gentleman now hopes love and sanity can save him from the maddening haze, Perhaps ?

Roses and Thorns

Roses and Thorns 1. 10 .16

Lest we pray for forgotten dreams while remembering times where the light shone upon our faces, a warmth invigorating shining brightly.
Before the liars became king stripping us of our humanness and dignity for cash rewards with penthouse views, cocktails and cash always firmly with their reach.
I being naive in my youthful thinking warm intentions could make a difference a sad joke told by fools the jesters crown shines in the landfill, decaying
Bones aging smiles fading as the actors fade from view leaving the audience to decide their fates a reversal of fortunes it’s live or die? What have you decided?
Rose and Thorns beauty and ugliness who decides who gets which? Life is not particular in her choices, Does anyone care for tattered dreams and broken lives many alive by chances fate
Driving by shattered windows and shoeless children do the haves of the world worry for them or perhaps just for their shiny machines and overpriced dinners cash buys luxury et all the trimmings too.
Where does the road lead from here? Left, Right, Straight ahead? into a Society devoid of compassion, love choking on greed’s deliberate touch immense telling all I am here! Beware!
Standing tall in the face of uncaring spirits in white Linen suits the few must fight on for freedom as it is for all citizens, young, old, time is now to lift them up regain humanity peace for all, harmony reconnected.

Feeling Your Breath Upon Me

Feeling Your Breath Upon Me...... 12.2.13

Feeling your breath upon me as you lay sleeping holding you close never wanting this moment to end, I remember our first embrace smiling wide newness a refreshing drink.
Are you dreaming of me am I still the same man you remember? the one you gave your beautiful heart to and walked the silent woods talking like familiar strangers, without hesitation.
I have always loved you despite mistakes made travelling this steep path we call life my heart has been yours since I gazed in your loving eyes, brown and rich.
Fragile our union has always been and will always be it has been the one constant, the one thing I can hold onto grasp with emotion and heartfelt strength, never to wane for thee.
Protecting us I feel the warmth of our love wrapping us up in her blanket from the cold winds of life's constant wrath, souls joined forever from above.
Regrets having none since we began our love affair you are the beacon that guides me through the night loud with minions screaming, seeking to keep me in their grasp.
Days of listening to your thoughts rich in creative detail I smile loving you like none before, nights of passion seemed endless as we loved our bodies becoming one the world was here, was ours if only for a moment.
Crying, laughing, screaming, dying choice is made to remain in thy garden close to your bosom for rest of my days, being here calmness is found peace attained among the roses.
Wanting to be with you always and might you feel the same? without your smile warm life will have lost its meaning, an emptiness unwillingly found.
I perish the idea of a solemn walk alone, take my hand our journey through the mist, falling rain is not yet complete my love, my dark haired lass.

Mask of Illusion

Mask of Illusion……. 10/7/09

Crying out in the night minions of death surround her with dark intent, cruelty known
Dying once again she welcomed the fate that awaited life had become without dignity, pain unyielding.

Mask of illusion spelled harmony nonexistent reality lost in days cold treason, continued
Shadows from the edge creep along the waterline casting the smell of fear death calling, touching

Beginning travels near and far start with an infant’s clumsy steps untried and true, falling
Journey’s maze leads down roads long and unknown, laughing we forgive the night, smiling

In the midday sun lines can be seen clearly forming on weathered faces tired, expressionless
Youth’s favored status once the envy of mass’s scolding opinion has given way to old bones, cold

Once prideful steps quick and light, beauty was everywhere and within reach grasping, firm
Time is not friendly, tricking those unsure without season or hesitation, insensitive scenes of anger.

Accepting change today, tomorrow, forever , destiny is chosen not rehearsed, rewritten.
Forgiving sins past deeds done to and from choices made, peace may be achieved found in her gentile smile beckoning, loving.

Living Dying In Real Time

Living .Dying In Real Time 8/1/12

Walking through the shadows where living images once resided an eerie feeling sweeps over those non believers, stoic.
Crying? Dying? Choices too few decisions not made what happened to the plans of long removed youth? Somber mood prevails now, calling from the shadows.

Come hither she whispers this will not hurt says the dark maiden named pain’s mistress, eyes black gazing into souls weakened from practicing her evil lies, forgotten truths
Living in time once meant fulfilling dreams bright with promise; time was an ally to all hers was an encircling love.

Faces now crack with lines deep and heavy grown weary from the endless journey upon the turning wheel, exhausted minds
Corporations spin tales of woe meanwhile lining their streets with golden coins callously laughing at those left lying in their wake, waves crash on unsuspecting mass’s.

Beginnings endings life tells a tale not fortuitous for many in her kingdom; loyalty misplaced or disenchanted deserving a happier fate than one they are living, suffering now.
Is no one left accountable for actions vile and disingenuous?
Callous hands count fortunes within glass towers made easy by hierarchy’s rewarding touch, no suffering the shark smiles.

Lest we forget one must remember a time long, long ago when the fruit was sweet and smiles plentiful happiness was attainable, within our grasp.
Youth was free for a time in the early morning sun yet now we must pay for meals not so pleasant of taste nor smell, distasteful

Hath Greed replaced love? Where has mercy and compassion gone? Seems like they left on the midnight train taking happiness hostage but what is the ransom they seek?
Swirling winds of indecision blow warm breezes to us now, will we seek to regain our freedom and restore love to her rightful place on the throne?

Cloak of Darkness

Cloak of Darkness… 9/2/10

A man who has hidden himself so deeply under the cover of darkness does not recognize the face that reflects back at him from the mirrors smile.
A stranger peers back from the reflection questioning who is this person and how did he become I?

Why has the darkness forsaken him? Banishing him to the unfriendly confines of hostilities tempered sword, falling
Fate has chosen without remorse or indecision this path calling, invoking its will to be done now, without hesitation.

Driven to madness by unseen forces imaginary? A clock ticks down the seconds in the final act on life’s stage, crimson tears fall sweetly
Once long ago in a place now forgotten the dream was born smiling only to die years later alone and cold, a cry is never heard in the stillness, night’s demise

Cracks on faces worn defining reality’s callous touch tell a tale that frightens those faint of heart and detached, glass towers
If money be the measure of one’s merit, then what is the price a soul pays to remove the shackles of insincerity men without nobility?

Mysteries of Love

Mysteries Of Love 2/14/12

Tales of passion told through an old man’s eyes with hands calloused yet strong, speak loudly of his love for beautiful maiden now gone beyond his reach, touch forever.
She was of European descent with eyes dark brown of color and skin cool yet ivory smooth, Grace Elegance defined became one following her on travels near, seldom

Lovers were they spending time gazing at the crescent moon counting the stars on chilly nights watching skies for hours at a time, endlessly
Time was theirs to hold to taste to devour or so it seemed memories being made as days went by in a blink now the aged man recalls, sadness is his to wear.

Where did our love go? Why must I now travel alone along these lonely streets without purpose stolen was my lady took away without warning like a thief in the night, quickly it was done.
Mysteries of love haunt my everyday thoughts like a ship navigating through mist and fog thick, Heart is my compass broke by life’s long hand Black.

Tired weary from nights denied of sleep Shadows follow me to and fro always there lurking in the darkness like an enemy unseen, however known by reputation.
Once the enchanting maiden was mine and I hers as we loved without hesitation, hearts, souls, lives intertwined we were one in life and shall be again in the next as her face forever shines upon me.

Goodbye Miss Heidi Only For Now

Goodbye Miss Heidi Only For Now…….8.3.14

Remembering that day I first brought you home the sun was out a warm July day, meowing never stopped on your first ride to your new home, waiting
Seeing you the first time a solitary cat of orange and gray you nuzzled the bars on the cage with your soft mews stole our hearts forever, beautiful green eyes shining.
Loving you from that very first day we knew you were the one for us special feelings felt for torty abounded in our hearts, our loneliness relieved.
At rest or at play Miss Heidi was our joy to behold with her climbing and jumping onto beds during laundry time was her favorite adventure , smiling
Whether sitting on warm jeans or her attempts to make the bed while in it was fun to watch and precious memories never to be forgotten, imbedded within us.
Basketball became her favorite pastime on TV either the squeaks of sneakers or just the speed the ball moved up and down the court her eyes fixed, a fan of the game was the furry girl.
15 years came and went in the blink of an eye it seems I remember many nights the two of watching sports on TV with her laying on my legs for hours at a time, never thought those days would ever end, life changes like it or not.
Many times like now she would sit on my lap waiting for me to get done with this silly computer and for us to get to things that really matter: more food and laying on the couch watching TV!

Arlene and Miss Heidi had a special bond too her furry daughter was never without love or food and water, love between them used to bring a tear to my eye, true love
The many comfortable places my wife made for Heidi to lay on including the enormous cat tower that she dearly loved and tore up! Showing how happy laying in it made her feel, over and over.
Whiskers blowin’ in the wind she came to love the fan upon her striking cheeks, a love we both shared with a smile
Our loves were made richer and fuller by having her as part of our family showing us unconditional love and how to love others than yourself, thank you furry daughter.
You taught me more than I ever taught you and helped make me a better man, loving caring man the powers of a tortoise shell who would have thought possible?
The many times mom covered you and I up when we fell asleep waiting for her to come home were and still are precious memories never will I forget you Baba……….
And times O found you sleeping in bed on your Cowboy blanky always brought a smile and tear of love to my face, we will never forget you our baby and first kitty/
Thanks for all the love you showed us over the years and all the happy times the three of us shared and your love for ham, my home made pork chops and tortilla chips.
You were a blessing from God and your spirit reigns on in our hearts, minds and souls we will see you again little baba and be reunited and I ‘m sure you will be hungry too!!!
Mommy and daddy miss you now and forever and are happy that you are not suffering or in pain ,you are with God now chasing squirrel’s and folding warm white towels waiting for us……
