How to Advertise on PoetrySoup

Advertise on PoetrySoup by writing a guest post with backlinks, posting backlinks on specific poem pages, or via classified ads. Display ads are handled through Google Adsense only. 

Guest Posts with Permanent Do-follow Links

You can provide a unique guest post (article) to PoetrySoup with direct backlinks (permanent do-follow links) to another website. We charge a fee of $75 for these types of articles with a maximum of 3 backlinks (minimum $50 for one backlink). However, the article must be about poetry or writing.

To submit a guest post, please do the following.

1. Submit the approved article in a Microsoft Word document.
2. Pay the balance due via PayPal to 
3. PoetrySoup (the targeted website) will post the article and submit it to Google and Bing search engines within 24hrs of receiving the fee (Email us when the payment has been made. Contact PoetrySoup).
4. We will email you a link to the article once it has been posted.

NOTE: The following are sensitive categories you cannot link: pornographic sites, downloadable utilities, references to sex, religion, and gambling & betting.

Guest Post Terms and Conditions

• The guest post (article) will remain on PoetrySoup forever as long as the backlinks within the article remain valid.
• The guest post (article) must be a minimum of 500 words.
• The guest post (article) must be about writing or poetry.
• The guest post will be published in the main domain.  
• The guest post will be published with the exact approved anchor and URL sent by you.
• The backlinks will be a do-follow with direct links (without any redirects).   
• The targeted website may not contain malicious software (The backlink will be removed, and the advertising fee forfeited if malicious software is found on the targeted website). 

Backlinks Based on Poem Keywords or Poem Pages

A backlink is a link created when one website links to another website. Backlinks are vital to SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

PoetrySoup allows backlinks on our high-authority poem topic pages based on a specific poem keyword like marriage, haiku, elephant, biomolecule, political, wine, healthcare, etc. For example, an approved publisher can place a backlink to their website on our "haiku" poem page. We charge a fee of $99 per keyword for backlinks that stay on PoetrySoup for one year.

To submit a backlink request, please do the following.

1. Submit the following information for approval:
   • The poem page or keyword you where you want to display your backlink.
   • Backlink text no longer than 48 characters
   • URL of the backlink
   • email address of the contact person
   • name of the contact person
2. Once approved, pay the balance due via PayPal to  Email us after the payment has been made. Contact PoetrySoup.
3. PoetrySoup will post the backlink within 24hrs of receiving the fee
4. We will notify you once the backlink has been posted. It may take up to 24hrs for the backlink to display on the page since pages are cached. 

Backlink Terms and Conditions

• The backlink will display on the PoetrySoup website for one year unless renewed.
• The backlink will display on your page of choice (associated with your keyword) within the first level of the /poems/ directory. For example:
  • /poems/classical_music
  • /poems/wine
  • /poems/hockey
  • /poems/wedding
• The targeted website may not contain malicious software (The backlink will be removed, and the advertising fee forfeited if malicious software is found on the targeted website).

Post classified ads for anthologies, books, magazines, websites, calls for manuscripts, poets, writers, etc. Promote your blog, personal website, client, book, university, poetry workshop, retreat, etc. Ads are FREE for PoetrySoup Premium Members.
