At twilight time, a man surrounded by some colors yellow and an orange red which seem to swirl above him in the sky stands on a bridge with both hands on his head as if he wants to cover up his ears. This scene depicts a vision of this man who lived with such anxiety and fears. Oh what could even be more fearsome than a world gone crazy? Man with nature screams! The bridge the man is standing on stays strong. Mankind progresses (or at least it seems). Can we succeed with so much going wrong? We still relate to Edvard’s “Scream” today. The terror it imparts us still holds sway.

Andrea, great rhyme, I like how this poem conveys despair.

So true, dear Andrea. I am living in a scream now. To add to my woes, my leg is taking its time and my molars are hurting again. Hugs xx

You have vivified Munch's painting 'Scream' through your poem. His scream still echoes. Probably that man must have been beset with the same horrifying conditions as we are now facing. Well done Andrea...

The painting emotes what you just did. discribed it to yourself. The mouth the eyes the ears they grab someone feeling this at that moment. when for us it is a passing feeling of what we all have felt.

Andrea, i agree. I think of this painting frequently, when i feel like its painted vision, horrified, fearful, or furious! Recently, as a vis artist, i’ve wanted to paint my version of Scream, but No! I think there’s no way to beat the epitome! Your superb poem found a superb subject! Hugs, sally
