One Proud Yellow Dandelion

One Proud Yellow Dandelion Lantanas and pears are lushly in bloom, Baby chartreuse leaves brighten winter’s late gloom And one proud yellow dandelion. We wait for the redbuds – where are you? There are dark spring clouds under the blue, And one proud yellow dandelion. Nandina berries like Christmas late, Spring cold breezes now sealing their fate, And one proud yellow dandelion. Courageously the dandelion stiffly stands, Knowing it will change, blow like sand, And mother the earth with new children. To bloom and fly away.

Good thing I love dandelions as I've definitely got more than one. I eat them though! Better than salad spinach.

I just love your celebration of the little Dandelion. I saw a huge hillside filled with dandelions one spring in Bavaria and I don't see them as weeds but healing herbs. They are quite breathtaking when gathered together upon the green hillside. I must Fave this lovely poem Sunlite! Brava! xxoo
