Follow PS rules and the structure and direction of one of the types of story defined below, fable, parable, or allegory, or some combination.
See my example: “The Moon in the Rowan Tree”.
A fable is a short fictional story that teaches a moral lesson. Fables often feature animals, plants, or inanimate objects that behave like humans. The moral is usually stated at the end of the story.
A parable is a short story that conveys a moral or spiritual lesson. Parables are often allegorical and use symbolic language to illustrate a deeper truth.
An allegory is a story that uses symbolic characters, events, or settings to convey a hidden meaning, such as a moral or political lesson. The comparison between the symbolic elements and the real-world meaning isn't always explicitly stated.
Types of allegories
Biblical allegory: Stories that use the Bible to teach lessons, or literature that retells Bible stories
Classical allegory: Stories that originated in ancient Greece and Rome, such as Aesop's Fables
Historical allegory: Stories that use fictional elements to parallel real historical events or periods
