This is a good explanation of the creative arts. They help us to look beyond the obvious, challenge us to reflect and see the world in a different way. It is a human pursuit. By the way, the image is AI-generated - to me it is ovbvious it is. What might Dali have painted? Indeed are there any soupers out there who are painters and willing to share their take on the creative arts? We could then all poetically interpret the paintings!

An amazing Ephrasis Brian. And yes the appreciation came from Ensalada Mixta and I've visited Dalí venues in Girona Figueres and Cadaques - absolutely incredible! Simon

An ekphrasis - An AI castle in the sky - With balloons and clouds floating by - And folk standing there on the sand- It seems luxurious and grand.- One must understand its a bluff - Which truly is not good enough - It’s not been painted by a hand - But generated on command… Beryl

Knowing hardly anything about art, I would just take this to be a typcial modern art picture. I mainly like the realist painters who came before the 1900's. Even a few of the impressionists.

Such type of painting is surrealism but i am not a fan of such genre . I love impressionism paintings like that of Monet( I have written a few ekphrasis poems about that)which depicts passage of time by rendering appropriate execution of light and shadow. Moreover, painting just like poetry speaks but in a silent way, as the saying goes, " painting is a silent poetry".

I have since college days been a fan of Dali's work. I did not like and never will like Picasso's work, irrespective of the colour period he experimented in. I find Hopper's work (the same period as the latter) boring and flat ... I like your generated pic. But, then again, would I hang it on a wall in my house? Maybe ... for a short period of time. In that lies the answer. I treasure my watercolours and would not readily part with them. Generated pics can be replaced at a whim. I can generate in the style of anyone or choose "surprise me". Like anything with else, I like to explore and experiment with various mediums. I'm just curious by nature. Most of my poems on here has pics.

Last line: Most of my poems on here have pictures that I had generated, all in various art styles. Luckily people can hide it as these are posted in my Notes area. BTW Historically, poems were not titled -- it is a modern construct (which is followed on PS). :)
